Drawing for the Children

One of the greatest pleasures I have in teaching cartooning for an after school program is drawing all kinds of things for the kids. They have requested so many different things from video game characters to super heroes. The wish list of requests from them might even rival Santa's list. Below is my latest drawings for my them. One is, of course a classic Disney character and the other drawing is one of my own ideas. Such fun!

Saturday Night Doodles Continues

My latest Saturday Night Doodles from this weekend and last last weekend. I used pencil, ink and color pencil for the completed one and might for the other too. Though maybe I might use some color.

I'd just been drawing them in pencil over the years but I am enjoying the inking so I'll be doing that more often.

Saturday Afternoon Matinee with the Family

Image result for Tremors

It's been a long time since we , as a family have sat together to watch a movie. We usually see the latest Star Wars movie together but couldn't this year. So, the stars were aligned just right today because we were all home for the entire day allowing us a chance to watch a movie. My daughter selected Tremors because , well, it looked like a good "popcorn movie", which it is ! I'd seen it and thoroughly enjoyed it so I was ready to see it again. My wife and son, though, had their doubts as to the quality of the film but by the end were completely engaged in the movie. My wife was worried primarily for Burt. Such a fun movie. I don't think it would have been as good were it not for the healthy dose of comedy that formed it's core and the solid cast. Now my wife would like to watch the sequel . I can't wait because I haven't see that one or the others but am sure I'll enjoy every minute of each of the sequels.
