Most of the week was spent working on marionettes but on Thursday I spent a few hours as my alter-ego "Doc Edwards" over at the San Pedro Playhouse where the local PBS affiliate, KLRN, was screening the new "Sid the Science Kid" movie. Afterwards we were one of several science related stations the kids would go to engaging in whatever activity was waiting for them. Fun day.
Marionette work continues over the weekend. Photos of the marionettes will be posted as soon as I download them. Have a great weekend.
We'll be working on the sleigh for the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet's production of "A Midsummer Nights Dream" which opens April 20th at the Carver Cultural Arts Center. We started by cleaning it and tomorrow we'll begin making repairs on it. When those are completed we'll give a brand new paint job and a few extras. Arriba Arte Studios is busy in March!
Gag Night was the night we presented all our gags for the new show to the producer during Winter Quarters. Afterwards, some gags were cut, some changed a bit. The gag pictured above was a pretty funny gag conceived by Larry Clark. Larry is on the right and to his left is Bo Allen. It was a pretty fun gag that deservedly made the final cut.
