Soggy Critter

My daughter caught sight of this little guy as I watered the lawn. She told me she'd learned something about caterpillars at school and proceeded to tell me it was a monarch caterpillar. It would soon be in a cocoon and emerge as a monarch butterfly three months later. Click on the image top magnify and when you do you can see that there are water drops on it's bristly hairs.
