The week started with the Family Crisis and was sprinkled with a healthy dose of work followed by more work. That's about the size of it. To unwind I've been vegging out on the computer- specifically Youtube. I've been watching this great fan made documentary on Star Wars called Star Wars Begins. Check it out.

Fom Way Back When: ABC Friday Night Movie Intro 1970's
Remember this! Friday nights for me meant movies and I loved the movies either at home or at the theaters. It was all good. Seems like only yesterday.

Rest in Peace Bil Keane
I read that Bil Keane, creator of The Family Circus passed away a couple of days ago. I enjoyed his style of drawing and gentle humor and am sad to hear of his passing but glad his son is keeping the strip going. Strips come and go often so it's nice to see familiar faces were glad to see on the comic pages and know they'll be around for a long time.

Tuesday Notes
A family crisis is in full swing so I might not be posting as often as I like for a while. All I can say is I don't understand life sometimes....or most of the time. I guess.
Prop building and Doc Ed shows fill the week so far and that's a good thing. Distraction in difficult times is necessary. Drawing time is sparse but I think the latter half of the week will allow for it a bit more.

On the Road with Doc Ed
Cover art for activity book given to all students at Doc Ed shows. Cover art is by me, myself and I. Font art by Art Avila.
This week Doc Ed will be sharing his knowledge of the Edwards Aquifer as one of several presenters at the Northside Enviro Fair at the Texas Research Park and at Wilderness Oak Elementary presenting his "History of a Rock Star" show for fourth and fifth grade students.
Happy Monday
It's only the 7th of November but there are Christmas decorations up at some homes and businesses around town so I thought why not join the party- at least a little, since the holiday season comes and goes way too soon. But I'm not ready to put up our tree and lights just yet. Given that there isn't any Thanksgiving music that I know of I decided I should listen to some Christmas music to get into the spirit of the season. Listening to Christmas music is a great way to start the day and makes driving in traffic okay. I don't feel compelled to express my dislike either by colorful epithets or a well timed hand gesture, for the lack of interest shown by my fellow drivers in following basic "rules of the road" . That music definitely takes the edge off. Feels good!

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)
In order to make up for not posting a Slapstick Theater for last Sunday here's a double-dose of comedy straight from the 1960's and starring Don Knotts. Enjoy!
