Friday Roundup

I tend to look up a lot. I'm glad.

It's Friday. Spring Break is almost over and so far we've survived the flu, lost five pounds, put it back on, went to rally in support of teachers, caught five catfish, ate 'em, did two loads of laundry, went to work, got paid, spent a bunch of money, whittled, saw an opossum, grilled yummy food my kids actually ate and avoided shaving for the last seven days. I'm livin' the dream! Night, night.

Happy St.Patrick's Day

I'm posting another of those neat Wikipedia links with some background info on St. Patrick's day. Don't forget to wear something green.

It's Mid Week and It's Still Spring Break. Huzzah!

My father recently found a scrapbook I'd misplaced long ago but it turns out it was back in Laredo stored in the hall closet of my parent's home. When we left to work with the circus in late 2000 I recall taking some things back home to keep them safe. We'd be on the road away from our humble little home in Dallas for a very long time. I really treasure my photo albums and scrapbooks and felt they'd be safest at my family's casa in Laredo. Then I forgot about it. Doh!

Thanks to Dad I now have some neat memories from those albums I'll be posting this week including this poster for an original children's play "Ceareal Box Submarine", in which Pam and I appeared in as pirates...goofy pirates, of course. They put on fun kid's shows at Mountainview College and we really enjoyed the time we spent there. I'll be posting photos for that show tomorrow.

Flu and Loathing in San Antonio

I started some sketches to figure out what scene from the Hobbit I be painting next. Here a few samples starting with Gandalf.

Bilbo

Orcs

We started Spring Break at Rancho Ramirez with a bang! Three of us came down with the flu which made for a very Hell-ish weekend. My son was the only one spared( knock on wood) but the good news is were relatively back to normal.

Doc is off for Spring Break so I get to fix and spruce up show props for the next few days. My next scheduled Doc Ed presentation will be on Tuesday March 22nd at Cambridge Elementary.

That's all I have to say for now. I'm just glad to be amongst the living again. Hasta manana.

Truly a Sunday!

Makes you feel teeny, don't it. Looking upward gives you a good sense of perspective.
